Interest earned by you from fixed deposit accounts is also exempted in the following situations:- Period exceeding 12 months or more – any amount of interest. House Purchase Any foreigner may purchase any number of residential property in Malaysia, subject to the minimum rates established for foreigners by the different states. start from MYR500,000 per unit for most states.
